Role Overview

The Finance and Operations Manager at Advanced Structures is responsible for company-level financial governance and the administrative execution of performance-based compensation systems. This role ensures operational efficiency by managing internal costs and aligning team output with company profitability.

Reporting & Collaboration

  1. Reporting Line: Reports to CEO.
  2. Internal Collaboration: Works closely with People Ops and Engineering teams to manage overall company operations and resource allocation.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Financial Management
  2. Manage company-level Profit & Loss (P&L).
  3. Oversee internal OpEx, including salaries, facility costs, and software maintenance.
  4. Track project-specific budgets, direct expenses, receivables and vendor payments.
  5. Incentive & Variable Pay Administration
  6. Calculate and manage the mechanics of variable pay distributions.
  7. Apply performance multipliers based on project timelines, profit margins, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  8. Calculate adjustments related to hour overruns and budget adherence to protect company margins.
  9. Operational Oversight
  10. Enforce documentation standards for all project parameters, hours, and timelines within the management system.
  11. Monitor organizational efficiency and provide data-driven reporting to the CEO.
  12. Coordinate with department heads to implement hiring and team structuring plans.

Required Qualifications

  1. Professional Background: Candidates must have a strong background in Accounting or Finance.
  2. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent people skills are required to collaborate effectively across engineering and administrative functions.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to manage financial modeling and the administration of complex incentive structures.
