Role Overview
The Finance and Operations Manager at Advanced Structures is responsible for company-level financial governance and the administrative execution of performance-based compensation systems. This role ensures operational efficiency by managing internal costs and aligning team output with company profitability.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Reporting Line: Reports to CEO.
- Internal Collaboration: Works closely with People Ops and Engineering teams to manage overall company operations and resource allocation.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Management
- Manage company-level Profit & Loss (P&L).
- Oversee internal OpEx, including salaries, facility costs, and software maintenance.
- Track project-specific budgets, direct expenses, receivables and vendor payments.
- Incentive & Variable Pay Administration
- Calculate and manage the mechanics of variable pay distributions.
- Apply performance multipliers based on project timelines, profit margins, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Calculate adjustments related to hour overruns and budget adherence to protect company margins.
- Operational Oversight
- Enforce documentation standards for all project parameters, hours, and timelines within the management system.
- Monitor organizational efficiency and provide data-driven reporting to the CEO.
- Coordinate with department heads to implement hiring and team structuring plans.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Background: Candidates must have a strong background in Accounting or Finance.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent people skills are required to collaborate effectively across engineering and administrative functions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to manage financial modeling and the administration of complex incentive structures.
